After 10

It's eleven o'clock now and I've just tucked myself in for the night after a day of scrapping with the ladies of Scrappersatsg.

It was our Annual Christmas Party (yup, in November!) and it was definite blast! We started off with a guessing game for our Monito-Monita (Secret Santa). My Monito (or Monita?) was Andros and here are the layouts I made (which I couldn't post immediately because it would give me away).

"All Smiles"

The challenge went something like this:

Something round and something clear, so sorry that deadline is near... Then, add something hard, definitely not lard.

"Fab Five"

The second challenge mechanics were:

Something long, something small, that's not all but you'll never go wrong then add something soft to finish it off.

The last challenge was to make a layout for your mom/dad. Mine was Cecel and I decided on 2 photos - one of Rain (her niece) and she and her husband. I wasn't able to take a picture of the finished layout of Rain but I intend to finish the one I have of her (and her husband) and photograph it soon.

A productive saturday

Scrappersatsg June Scrapmeet
"Sunday Sweetheart"

Made this at Marix and Beth's birthday bash and June scrapmeet. Uber-happy that I was able to make it at the party! (I thought I wouldn't be able to come at the last minute because of work, but I guess someone "up there" gave me a break, hehe).

I've been having trouble thinking of titles. It was a good thing I remembered that we took this picture (at EJ's 1st birthday) and knew it was a Sunday (yaya's day-off). I wrestled with other versions of the title (Sunday morning, On a sunny sunday...) but unfortunately the letters I brought wouldn't cover them.

I lifted this from Maps' fave layout - "Captivating Korea"... and along with the gorgeous layouts from everyone were judged. I can't believe it was picked!!! I was tickled-pink, excited and very inspired. From the Chatterbox - Making Memories Kit I made this:

We're all winners!

Winners of the charades game (Andros, Nelvie, Chinqui, Beth and Pat). Great work girls! =P

Proof of the girl's hard work. Check out the wonderful layouts.
And best of all, my take-home treats! =D The mini-RAK I won from Marix' blogversary extravaganza. Papers and treats from the ukay-ukay. I absolutely loved everything! The charades, "musical-goody-bags", Amazing Race ala Scrappersatsg, and the bring-mes. My hat's off to the organizers and may we have more scrapmeets to come. =D

And the winners are...

Just a few of the lucky winners...

Bheng
Ces
Jane
Lily
Madeth and Amy

This is it!

Smiling and scrapping away! (CJ and Beth)

Say cheese! (Ann, Beth and Madeth)

Andros, up close. Proof that he does his own (precise) cutting.

Pretty in pink and green! (Lily and Soox)

Due to a shortage of chairs (only 20 chairs) Bheng resorted to scrapping on the floor. Now that's passion! =D You go girl!

Where's the Party?

Event: Scrappers@SG First Anniversary
Date: April 26, 2008 (Saturday)
Time: 1:00 PM
Venue: St. Michael's Condominium Function Rm.

It was a nice sunny day and I was on my way to our first ever anniversary scrapmeet.

I got lost! =) I went to St. Michael's "Place". I called Abby and found that I was indeed lost and had to catch a cab to St Michael's St. I thought I could wait at the bus stop but then noticed that the next street (the street the cab originally went to) was St. Michael's. I made up my mind to walk there instead.

I saw the function room decorated in pretty pink. I thought it was a kiddie party at first, hehehe. And the door was locked, so I didn't know if it was really the party. =D

There I saw Ate Rowee, Cecel and Nelvie

And some of our organizers (the two who started it all a year ago): Abby and Marix.

Our goody "bags" (or goody-plastic-storage-circles) stacked enticingly in a corner.
